Everybody experiences anger from time to time, though it can sometimes be unwanted or irrational. In psychology, anger is considered a primary, natural emotion that evolved to survive and protect yourself from what is regarded as wrongdoing. Anger management's goal is to control and regulate anger to prevent problems. People who feel anger are called to respond by this active emotion. People get into anger issues when they lack interpersonal skills and social skills to maintain self-control. According to research on affect and self-regulation, negative emotional states impair impulse control. Instead of reacting to their anger, they can be trained to view it as unwanted and unpleasant.
